Quick and dirty, how to get you and your friends into a team, and onto the path to winning a Digital Overload tournament.
Step 1 - (EVERYONE) - Register an account with the SAME REAL NAME as your Digital-overload.com account, and the gaming handle you want to use during the event.
In the Name field, enter your Real Name as found on digital-overload.com (ie: John Doe), in the Username field, enter your Handle you want used on this site, for the e-mail field use the same e-mail you registered with on www.digital-overload.com
Step 2 - (EVERYONE) - Go to Event Register, and register for the Digital Overload event. Select "I want to sign up and pay later", we will be syncing paid data soon to fix this issue and update paid status. YOU MUST DO THIS STEP TO REGISTER FOR TOURNAMENTS.
Step 3a - (NEW teams) - Go to Register a Team. Do that.
Step 3b - (Join an Existing team) - Go to "join Existing Team", Find the team-name, join it.
Step 4 - (Team Leaders) - Tournament registration. Go to Tournaments, find the one you want to enter for. Enter it.
Note1: IF YOU HAVE NOT PAID FOR YOUR WWW.DIGITAL-OVERLOAD.COM ACCOUNT, YOUR ACCOUNT ON HERE WILL BE INVALID WHEN WE SYNC DATABASES.
You will be removed from ALL teams you're on, and any teams you're the leader of will be disbanded.
Note 2: We are NOT enforcing the team sizes at this time, so if you're a team of one or two, and want to enter CoD4? Go for it. We'll be mashing together teams that are too small later on. PLEASE make sure you register with a valid email address so we can get in touch with you if we need to mash your team.
If we cannot get in touch with you, you WILL be dropped from the bracket, and if we run out of slots with FULL teams, you won't be able to re-register on-site.
Note 3: Two more tournaments added; Texas Hold-em and Project Assassination. Due to a small glitch with the tournament software, we had to make the max reg'd allowed higher than the actual rules state. Please check the FULL rules on www.digital-overload.com for more details. We will be enforcing the registration number limit, and any registrations past the cutoff amount will be discarded.
Project Assassination has an additional $10 entry fee due to materials needed for this awesome time.
